Hello! Yes, you see right: D I decided to join Pat Sloan Sew Along’s project called „Summer Soiree”. I decided to sew one block every Wednesday after posting it on Pat’s website. My challenge is to be systematic so every Wednesday I make a new post with my new block. I know it’s a big challenge for me, but keep your fingers crossed: D „Summer Soiree” project started last Wednesday, so now I want to show you my blocks from last week and from today. First of all: I decided to use fabrics from old Free Spirit collection (Love and light purple), one from Kaffe Fasset ( this dark red and purple) and the bright green from Bonie & Camille. Background as usually from Ikea – cotton Ditte.
This is what a raw block looks like but today Pat shared layout for whole project and it turned out that each block has a frame. Good news for me because without frame my block looks too much pale
Finally looks pretty good I think so – first block
And the second block I know I should use the fussy catting gingham print, but : first: the fabrics is expensive for me and the second: in Poland I don’t have „local quilt shop” as in the US or UK so all fabrics which I have I’m using very economically. And besides this quilt will be for ME so I accept all mistakes and shortcomings hahaha
And two blocks together without sashing
